
Judge Manuel J. Cervantes is an Administrative Law Judge with the Minnesota Office of Administrative Hearings.
Judge Cervantes has had a diverse professional experience and has dedicated his career to public service and the citizens of Minnesota.
Judge Cervantes joined the Office of Administrative Hearings as an Administrative Law Judge in April 2008. Before that he served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Health Licensing and Charities Divisions of the Office of the Minnesota Attorney General. He served as the City Attorney for the City of St. Paul from 2002 to 2006. He has also served as a Ramsey County District Family Court Referee from 1992 to 2002, and a Minnesota Workers' Compensation Court of Appeals Judge from 1986 to 1992.
Judge Cervantes earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1980. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Macalester College in St. Paul in 1974.
Judge Cervantes has been involved in a number of professional activities, as a charter member of the Minnesota Hispanic Bar Association, Minnesota Supreme Court Diversity in the Courts Implementation Committee and most recently as a member of the Supreme Court's Racial Fairness in the Courts Committee. He has also been actively involved in several community activities including the St. Paul Public School Foundation, the St. Paul-Manzanillo Sister City Committee, and has coached youth soccer for the past dozen years.
