Rule Description

The Minnesota Department of Health is proposing to adopt rules relating to the collection and use of administrative billing data. The purpose of this web page is to provide a convenient place disseminate information about the rulemaking process. A public hearing on these rules was held on Friday, October 4, in St. Paul. At that hearing, the Administrative Law judge announced that anyone can submit written comments on the proposed rules, so long as the comments were received by the judge no later than 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 24. He also urged the Department to submit any proposed changes to the rules by that time.

After that, there will be a response period, which will run until Thursday, October 31. During this response period, anyone can comment on any of the written comments submitted up to October 24. It is anticipated that the majority of the responsive comments will focus on any changes that the Department proposes.

Comments must be in writing, but can be sent by mail, fax, or email.

The record will close for all purposes on October 31. The Judge's report will be issued no later than December 2.
