Rule Description

The Minnesota Department of Health is proposing to adopt rules rules that modify the current school and college immunization requirements. The purpose of this web page is to provide a convenient place disseminate information about the rulemaking process. For a discussion of the substance of the proposals, see the Department's website, http://www.health.state.mn.us/divs/dpc/adps/immrule.htm.

A public hearing on these rules will be held on Friday, February 28, in St. Paul. At that hearing, the Administrative Law judge will announce that anyone can submit written comments on the proposed rules, so long as the comments are received by the judge during the comment period.

After that, there will be a response period, which will run an additional five working days. During this response period, anyone can comment on any of the written comments submitted up to the end of the comment period. It is anticipated that the majority of the responsive comments will focus on any changes that the Department proposes.

The ALJ will announce the date on which the record will close. The Judge's report will be issued approximately 30 days after the record closes.
