General Information
Minnesota Power has applied for an exemption under Minn. Rule 4400.3900 from the Power Plant Siting Act as relating to the planned rebuilding of its electrical transmission line from the Arrowhead Substation to the St. Louis River, near Gary, Minnesota.
The current transmission line is 115 kV. The proposed construction would convert the 12-mile section of line in Minnesota to a double circuit 115-345 kV line. The purpose of this proceeding is to determine whether the project will create significant human and environmental effects and whether the project is eligible for exemption from the Plant Siting Act.
