PREHEARING ORDER

A prehearing conference was held on December 20, 2005, at the Office of Administrative Hearings, 100 Washington Avenue South, Suite 1700, Minneapolis, MN 55401. Gregory P. Huwe, Assistant Attorney General, 445 Minnesota Street, Suite 1800, St. Paul, MN 55101-2134, appeared on behalf of the Campaign Finance & Public Disclosure Board (“Board”). Michael Ahern and Michael Drysdale, Dorsey & Whitney, LLP, 50 South Sixth Street, Suite 1500, Minneapolis, MN 55402-1498, appeared on behalf of 21^st Century Democrats (National Association) and 21^st Century Democrats (Minnesota Committee), “Respondents”.

IT IS HEREBY ORDERED:

1. Discovery shall be completed by March 24, 2006.

2. The Board shall serve and file any dispositive motion by May 4, 2006. The Respondents shall serve and file any response and competing motion by May 25, 2006. The Board shall serve and file its reply and any response to the Respondents’ competing motion by June 15, 2006. The Respondents’ shall serve and file its reply to the Board’s response by June 22, 2006.

3. In the event that the motions do not dispose of the matter, a prehearing conference will be held and the hearing date set.

4. This case may be appropriate for mediation. The parties are encouraged to consider requesting the Chief Administrative Law Judge to assign a mediator so that mediation can be scheduled promptly.
