Re: In
the Matter of the Joint Petition for Approval of Indirect Transfer
of Control of Qwest Operating Companies to CenturyLink
OAH Docket No.
11-2500-21391-2;
PUC
Docket No. P-421, et
al/PA-10-456
Dear Parties:
On October 18, 2010, the Joint CLECs filed a reply in opposition to the proposed
settlement entered into by the Department of Commerce and the Joint
Petitioners. In their response, the
Joint CLECs requested that the Administrative Law
Judge immediately convene a settlement conference of all parties to the
proceeding. This morning, the Joint
Petitioners submitted a letter in which they noted that they are receptive to
further settlement discussions with the Intervenors
on an individual or collective basis provided those discussions do not alter
the established schedule in this proceeding.
Under the circumstances, I believe it is
appropriate to convene a settlement conference involving all of the parties pursuant
to Minn. Stat. § 237.076, subd. 1. Administrative Law Judge
Please let me know as soon as possible
which of these dates will work for you and your clients.
Sincerely,
s/Barbara L. Neilson
