ORDER GRANTING INTERVENTION TO LITTLE EARTH OF UNITED TRIBES

 

          On September 17, 2009, Little Earth of United Tribes filed a Petition to Intervene in this proceeding pursuant to Minn. R. 1400.6200.  In support of its petition, Little Earth of United Tribes stated that it represents an indigenous people with a unique perspective on urban planning, land use and environmental justice.  Its Indian-owned housing complex is located in South Minneapolis.  It claims that the routing, mitigation, construction and design may affect its interests and that those interests cannot be adequately represented by other parties to the proceeding.

The current parties to this proceeding, the Applicant, Northern States Power Company, the Office of Energy Security, Midtown Greenway Coalition, City of Minneapolis, Crew2, Inc., and Hennepin County, have not filed an objection to Little Earth of United Tribes’ Petition for Intervention within seven days of service of the petition.

ORDER

          IT IS HEREBY ORDERED:

1.               Little Earth of United Tribes’ Petition to Intervene as a party with full rights is GRANTED.  It shall be subject to the provisions of the Prehearing Order issued on August 11, 2009.

2.               Little Earth of United Tribes’ representative shall be added to the OAH Service List.
