In the Matter of the Petition of McLeodUSA for Commission Mediation of a Dispute with Qwest Pursuant to 47 U.S.C. § 252(a)(2)

AMENDED MEDIATION ORDER

WHEREAS, a mediation session is scheduled to be held on July 12, 2007, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the offices of the Department of Commerce, Sibley and Snelling Conference Rooms, 85 Seventh Place East, Suite 500, St. Paul, MN 55101; and

WHEREAS, McLeodUSA and Qwest have advised the undersigned Administrative Law Judge that the parties are making progress toward resolution of the issue to be mediated, and they desire a brief continuance for the purpose of continuing their negotiations;

THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, that the mediation shall be rescheduled to take place on July 27, 2007, beginning at 9:30 a.m., at the offices of the Department of Commerce, 85 Seventh Place East, Suite 500, St. Paul, MN 55101.

Each party shall file with the mediator by the close of business on July 20, 2007, a confidential mediation statement which shall set out (1) a brief summary of the party’s position on the template issue and any alternatives to these positions the parties have offered in the course of negotiations, and (2) a list of the names and titles of person(s) who will attend the mediation. The mediation statement need not be served on the other party. The person with authority to settle this case for each party must be present for the mediation.
