PREHEARING ORDER |
This matter was referred to the Office of
Administrative Hearings by the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission and
assigned to Administrative Law Judge Manuel J. Cervantes (ALJ). On
January 2, 2009, the ALJ ordered an indefinite suspension of the proceedings
pursuant to the request of the parties. On
July 30, 2009, the Minnesota Department of Commerce (Department) advised the
ALJ that it had completed its analysis of the disputed files and would be
sharing its information with the parties to facilitate negotiations.
By letter dated June 24, 2010, the Department advised the ALJ that the parties were no longer in negotiations and that it would be appropriate to set the matter on for prehearing conference. The Department further advised that Desktop Media, Inc. may no longer be an operating company. Desktop Media, Inc. and/or Jaguar Communications, Inc. should be prepared to address the questions concerning the remaining assets of Desktop Media, Inc. and the extent Jaguar Communications, Inc. is responsible for the debts of Desktop Media, Inc. at the prehearing conference.
Pursuant to the Commission's direction, a prehearing conference will be held on August 4, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. in the Small Hearing Room at the Public Utilities Commission, 121 Seventh Place East, Suite 350, St. Paul, Minnesota 55101-2147. Persons participating in the prehearing conference should be prepared to discuss time frames, scheduling, intervention, discovery procedures, the issuance of a protective order, and similar issues. Potential parties are invited to attend the prehearing conference and to file their petitions to intervene as soon as possible.
