In the Matter of the Suspension

of the Family Child care License of Renate Glahn

 

FIRST PREHEARING ORDER

 

          A prehearing conference was held in the above-captioned matter by telephone on July 25, 2002, at 3:00 p.m.  Geoffrey A. Hjerleid, Sr. Asst. Olmsted County Attorney, 151 Fourth Street S.E., Rochester, MN  55904-3710, appeared on behalf of Olmsted County and the Department of Human Services.  Renate Glahn, 604 Seventh Avenue Northeast, Stewartville, MN  55976, appeared without counsel on her own behalf.

          Based upon discussions with the parties during the prehearing conference, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED as follows:

1.               By August 30, 2002, the parties will exchange copies of the exhibits they plan to offer at the hearing and a list of the witnesses each party intends to call, along with a brief description of the subject matter of the expected testimony of each witness.

2.               Ms. Glahn intends to revise the July 18, 2002, list of persons she wishes to subpoena for the hearing.  All requests for subpoenas shall be submitted to the Administrative Law Judge by September 4, 2002.

3.               The hearing will commence at 9:30 a.m. on September 13, 2002, in the Office of the Olmsted County Attorney, Third Floor, Olmsted County Government Center, 151 Fourth Street S.E., Rochester, Minnesota.

4.               The parties shall appear at the hearing with all documents and witnesses they need to support their position.  They shall bring at least three copies of each exhibit they plan to offer into evidence.  Exhibits shall be premarked using arabic numbers without designation of the party offering the exhibit.
