In the Matter of the Lawful Gambling License of Millennium Charity Plus, License No. 00393

FIRST PREHEARING ORDER

          A prehearing conference in this matter was held on June 18, 2001, before Allan W. Klein, Administrative Law Judge, in Minneapolis.

          Appearing on behalf of the Gambling Control Board was E. Joseph Newton, Assistant Attorney General, 525 Park Street, Suite 500, St. Paul, MN 55103-2106.

Appearing on behalf of Millennium Charity Plus was Kevin P. Staunton, Attorney at Law, Hinshaw & Culbertson, Piper Jaffray Tower, 222 South 9th Street, Suite 3100, Minneapolis, MN 55402.

Counsel and the judge discussed a proposed schedule for this matter, and counsel agreed on a schedule.  The judge accepts the agreement, and makes the following:

ORDER

          1.          That all discovery requests (except for depositions) shall be served no later than June 29, 2001.

          2.          That all responses to discovery shall be served no later than July 30, 2001.

3.              That all depositions shall be completed no later than August 31, 2001.

4.               That if an evidentiary hearing is needed in this matter, the hearings shall take place commencing at 9:00 a.m. on October 1, 2001, and continue until completed.  Counsel are requested to reserve three days so that the matter can be completed and additional hearing dates will not have to be added.
